We advise you to go to Beynac. Climb to the top of the village, walking the cobbled streets and get a superb view of the surroundings.
Continue with the visit of Castelnaud and its medieval castle. Visit it for an immersion in the Middle Ages. You will discover a collection of weapons and armor from another era, but also trebuchets.
Finally, discover La Roque-Gageac, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, which will surprise you with its typical charm, its church and its market.
In 10 minutes by car, go to the Château des Milandes. After having belonged to the same family, Josephine Baker was the acquisition of this castle. Birds of prey show, visit to the museum retracing the history of Josephine Baker and stroll in the French garden will be on the program for your day.
Sarlat, Capital of the Périgord Noir
It will take you less than 15 minutes to reach Sarlat-la-Canéda. We advise you to walk the steep and cobbled streets of the city center. You will discover the Saint-Sacerdos Cathedral, the Manor of Grisson, the panoramic elevator and many others. Street entertainment, building full of charm and authenticity will be there.
Domme and his cave
In 15 minutes by car, you will be in Domme. This village, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, will charm you with its cave, the largest converted cave in the Périgord Noir. A little further on, you can visit many other caves: Prehistoric Shelters in Les Eyzies, Grotte des Merveilles in Rocamadour, Grotte de Cougnac in Payrignac, etc.
Take a hot air balloon ride
To discover this region with a thousand and one facets, and to learn more about all of its castles and its rich history, we advise you to take the height. In a few minutes' drive from our hotel with swimming pool at the gates of Beynac, you can take a hot air balloon ride over the Périgord Noir.
The Gardens of Marqueyssac
500 meters from our establishment, you will be in the Jardins de Marqueyssac. This must-see site in the Dordogne will charm you with its 150,000 hand-cut box trees, its belvederes, its rockeries and its breathtaking panorama over the whole of Périgord. More than 6 kilometers of nature walks await you.
